Program Overview

Life Got Better’s CNAs offer personalized support for daily activities, guaranteeing individualized care that enhances patients’ dignity and independence.

An essential responsibility for our CNAs involves the meticulous monitoring and recording of vital signs, playing a pivotal role in the comprehensive assessment and well-being of our patients.

Our CNAs are distinguished by their clear and empathetic communication skills. Actively interacting with patients, families, and the healthcare team, they ensure a smooth and compassionate exchange of information.

The objective of a CNA course is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience required to administer safe and efficient care to patients across diverse healthcare settings. Following course completion, you will be guided through the process of registering for a certification exam, a crucial step toward obtaining your licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

CNA Training & Exams

To schedule the Wisconsin nurse aide competency examination, candidates must have successfully completed a Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) approved nurse aide training program or possess a DHS-issued approval to test letter. Approved programs in Wisconsin span 120 hours, featuring 32 clinical hours.

The knowledge test is available in written or oral formats, with the provision that, in Wisconsin, it is exclusively administered in English. Wisconsin follows the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP), consisting of two distinct assessments: practical skills and knowledge.

The skills test evaluates hand hygiene and five additional nurse aide skills chosen at random. Notably, at least one task will involve the demonstration of measurement skills, such as taking blood pressure or counting pulses.
