This class discusses how to respond to an emergency situation and how to apply First Aid when needed. It is a hands-on learning session to promote best practices while faced with helping a person that is injured or choking. Training must be completed in order to meet the training requirements per DHS 83. Basic First Aid, including handling or how to handle bleeding episodes, seizures, cardiac and breathing emergencies, heat or cold overexposure, and soft tissue and joint injuries. Choking maneuver.
